Since our founding in 1990, FGASA has been committed to setting and maintaining the highest professional, ethical, and safety standards within the guiding industry. Over the past three and a half decades, we have:
- Contributed to industry-recognised standards of guiding excellence.
- Developed a code of conduct aligned with international best practice.
- Provided structured career pathways for guides to grow their knowledge and practical skills.
- Built a strong network of experienced guides, trainers, mentors, and assessors to ensure all FGASA-certified guides meet industry preferred standards of professionalism, ethics and safety.
This milestone would not have been possible without the professionalism, dedication, and determination of our members, the invaluable contributions of our mentors, assessors, delivery partners, and committees, and the ongoing support of the broader tourism industry, employers, guests, and reserves.
To mark this momentous occasion, FGASA will host a 35-Year Birthday Celebration this November. We invite all our members and supporters to join us as we celebrate our legacy of guiding professionalism and look forward to the exciting road ahead.
