FGASA is very excited to announce a new collaboration between Friends of Kloofendal at Kloofendal Nature Reserve and FGASA. There are many learners in the Gauteng area, who opt for the self-study option for the theory component of the Apprentice Field Guide (NQF2), but then have difficulty with being able to grow their practical knowledge.

We have therefore partnered with Kloofendal Nature Reserve in order to assist these learners, who can then attend the weekend practical sessions which take place at Kloofendal. There are trees, grasses, insects, geology, astronomy to name a few.

Attending these walks, which take place with FGASA guides, as well as experts in the respective field, will provide insight into what is expected as a guide, once you are qualified, as well as helping you to learn and invest in yourself.

As a FGASA member, there is no cost to attend a FGASA walk. Please follow the below link to see when the different walks will be happening and make a booking directly with Kloofendal. State your FGASA membership number to qualify. There is an entry fee for all other walks, not arranged by FGASA.
