The World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) has launched an inspiring new initiative titled “A Guide’s Perspective” — and FGASA is proud to support and invite our members to take part.

This global platform has been created to connect guides, tourism professionals and guests through powerful, personal reflections. The goal is to give voice to the people at the heart of the guiding profession — you.

A Guide’s Perspective welcomes contributions from guides around the world in the form of short statements, reflections, or stories that speak to:

  • Global or local events from the perspective of a guide

  • Commemorative or international days (e.g. World Wildlife Day, Heritage Day, Mandela Day)

  • Impactful stories from the field or personal guiding journeys

  • Thoughts on the value, purpose, and power of guided tourism

We know FGASA guides have some of the most passionate, insightful and powerful voices in the industry — and this is your opportunity to share that with the world.

If you’d like to contribute to this WFTGA initiative, please email marketing@fgasa.org.za with:

  • Your full name

  • Your written story, statement or reflection

  • A photo or two to accompany your piece (optional)

We’ll then forward your submission directly to the WFTGA for publication consideration.
